Choose the core independently of the wrap

Greyboard supplies the underlying structure of a wrapped rigid box. Compare the core with the box size, joints and opening, then specify the visible paper separately. A nominal thickness is not enough to describe the assembled pack. Review the wrapped sample before accepting a substitute.

Confirm board thickness, box dimensions, wrapping stock and the intended opening structure.

Limits of the selected greyboard option

Greyboard is a structural core; specify the separate printed or specialty wrapping paper rather than treating the core as the finished surface.

Is greyboard the same as the outside wrapping paper?

No. The core and wrap have different roles and should appear separately in the approved construction.
