Custom box printing starts with the structure, stock and intended graphic result. Separate process-colour artwork, spot colours and logo finishes so quotations describe the same job. A digital preview cannot reproduce every substrate or metallic effect. Review the selected paper and sample, and keep the approved files and colour reference linked to repeat orders.
Choose colour separations on the intended surface
Offset printing is within the confirmed production system. Define CMYK, spot colours and any reviewed white-ink area separately, then assess the printed sample on the chosen substrate. Foil stamping, embossing and laminates are additional processes rather than synonyms for printing. Confirm the selected combination and final files before the production schedule is released.
Can a screen image be the only colour standard for printed boxes?
It can communicate direction, but it is not a reliable physical production reference. Agree the relevant colour standard and sample on the intended stock.
